Content
This course will introduce the basic concepts of the physical principles behind energy. Various forms of energy and their use (including electricity, fossil energy, nuclear power, various forms of renewable energy), and their impacts on the environment both from a global and a regional perspectives will be discussed. Issues related to energy conservation and related environmental issues in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta (PRD) will be discussed.
 
 
Remarks
  • Prerequisite: Level 3 or above in HKDSE 1/2x or in HKDSE 1x Physics, or a passing grade in *HKCEE Physics
  • Students without the physics prerequisite but have taken PHYS 1001 or equivalent may seek instructor’s approval for enrolling in the course
