Abstract
Quantum technology has witnessed rapid development on various platforms over the past five years. Specifically, there are two major categories for suppressing thermal noise to under quantum level: using cryogenic temperature or raising the energy level to much larger than room temperature (i.e., in the optical frequency regime). Both approaches have demonstrated their own advantages; thus, the need to link them becomes increasingly pertinent. In this talk, I will present a hybrid quantum system with two built-in, well-defined quantum modes in different energy scales, with which we can transduce and process quantum information between two realms. I will also show how to generalize the key ideas to different systems.
